In the second round of the A-Open of the 50th International Dortmund Chess Days the top seeded players show strong form: Matthias Blübaum, Alexander Donchenko and Michael Adams won the second round with ease. In the Sportland NRW Cup, shooting star Hussain Besou fought his way to a draw from a bad position against "The Big Greek".
Two rounds have been played in the B-Open of the 50th Dortmund International Chess Days. 228 players went to the start. Now 36 players are still perfectly on track with 2 points. On the first board, the game between Andreas Scharrenbroich and Jan Paul Roth ended in a draw in the second round. On the second board Franz Michalek (photo) won with Black and is one of the tournament favourites in the B-Open. The third round starts on 26.6. at 10:30 a.m. - all tables and draws can also be found on Chess-Results.com.
