Artem Dyachuk leads in Sparkassen Open B

Out of 6 leaders only one is left after the 5th round: The youngest participant of the leading group Artem Dyachuk (photo) won his black game and now leads the field.

Artem was born in 2009 and played the Ukrainian Youth Championship in March. Now he plays for Freibauer Wedemark in Germany. Today he won with Black against Josua Peter Bochynek from SV Unna.

On the top board, the game between Vincent Klugstedt and Linus Rohm ended in a draw. On the second board it was a wild and long game, Nico Nathe had an extra pawn but it was not enough and Dr. Andreas Kleinert was able to draw. That leaves only Artem Dyachuk with 5 points from 5 games.

A nice success was celebrated by the ten-year-old Philipp Allen, who beat the first seed Peter Becker.

The tournament continues tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. with the 6th round!
