The 50th International Dortmund Chess Days will see the third edition of the Sportland NRW Cup. Another prominent world-class player and old acquaintance of the International Dortmund Chess Days has confirmed his participation for the 50th anniversary: GM Michael Adams will once again take part in the International Dortmund Chess Days. This year in the strong A-Open with the first prize of € 5,000.
The three-time winner of the International Dortmund Chess Days will return to the Westfalenhallen Dortmund in 2023 for the 50th anniversary! World Championship challenger Fabiano Caruana (photo: Dortmunder Schachtage 2016, by Gerhard Hund) won the Chess Days in 2012, 2014 and 2015. In June he will compete in No Castling Chess for the first time.
