Both round-robin tournaments in the Sparkassen Chess Trophy remained close until the last round. The Sportland NRW Women´s Cup was the first to be decided.

GM Max Warmerdam concludes his excellent tournament with the tournament victory in the Sparkassen Open A.

Last year he already won a preliminary round ahead of GM Krishnan Sasikiran, this year he won the second preliminary round and then today the grand final of the Sparkassen NC Online Open 2022.

He led the entire tournament and secured the tournament victory with a draw in the last round: Congratulations to Artem Dyachuk!
