Due to the Chess Olympiad now taking place in India shortly after the 49th International Dortmund Chess Days, the winner of the Sparkassen NC Online Open 2021 will not be able to travel to Dortmund in July. Krishnan Sasikiran was nominated for the Indian national team and will not be able to participate due to training camps in the run-up to the Chess Olympiad.
With Melanie and Nikolas Lubbe, one of the strongest and probably best-known chess couples in Germany is coming to Dortmund in July. Both will take part in the strong Open A of the 49th Dortmund International Chess Days.
After the successful start during the 48th International Dortmund Chess Days 2021, an Online Open in No Castling Chess will be offered for the second time during the Sparkassen Chess Trophy in 2022! The first preliminary round will start on the first day of the tournament, 16 July. The final will take place on 24 July.
